PRESS & BLOGS
This section will allow you to get to know us a bit more through the press, from blogs whose authors enjoyed an experience at home or from personalities who chose Casa do Sear to disconnect.
We would like you to bear in mind that, over these 18 years, we have made renovations in the gardens, as well as changing the color of the rooms and the upholstery of the sofas -among others-, so if some of the photographs that are published in these articles do not match those we offer in the different sections of this website, it is not for any other reason than this logical evolution and maintenance of the house, as this web is updated on a regular basis.
If you have shared a few days with us, you have written an article about your escape to the Rías Bajas and your publication is not part of this collection, please contact us and provide us with the article link or a "pdf" document so that we can share it with all those who visit our website in the future.
-YE. EL REY D. JUAN CARLOS I-
Since September 2001 -the year in which we opened the house to the public- until today, whenever there have been sailing races in Sanxenxo, we have had the honor of accommodating members of the different organizations, sponsors and sailors in our rooms, among them YE. King D. Juan Carlos I, who was with us in September 2002 (Desafío Audi Race) and in November 2005 (the beginning of the Volvo Ocean Race).
-With Mr. Adolfo Pérez Esquivel-
Since the year 2000 when Pérez Esquivel -Nobel Peace Prize in 1980- discovered his Galician roots, he takes advantage of all his trips to the Rias Bajas –by himself or with some family member- to stay in our house, which always causes us Great joy, because that look and that calmness with which he talks to you transmit the same peace that honors the title he holds.
-14th. July in 2001-
After a long year of work, on July 14th., 2001 we were able to celebrate the inauguration of this family project, which we named Casa do Sear -formerly known as "La Casa del Coronel"-.
In this act we had the presence of Mr. Manuel Fraga Iribarne -President of the Xunta de Galicia at that time-, in addition to other members of the municipal corporation.
